History:
- Tower of Terror is the third ride in Disney's Tower of Terror line of rides. It is the first that does not feature the Twilight Zone theme, as Japanese culture is unfamiliar with the television series. The new storyline by Harrison Hightower III was developed specifically for this ride.
The Tower of Terorr features a ride system similar to the versions at Disney California Adventure (Disneyland Resort, 2004) and Walt Disney Studios (Disneyland Resort Paris, 2007). A simpler version compared to the original at Disney's Hollywood Studios (Walt Disney World, 1994), without the use of automatically controlled vehicles.
