Once upon a time... THE VALIANT TAILOR

who sat and worked in his parlor. For breakfast he made himself a bread with tasty mush, but put it aside for a moment to finish the doublet he was working on. When he wanted to pick it up again he saw that many flies had sat on it. He grabbed a rag and beat the flies flat. He got seven of them. He was impressed and decided to tell everyone. The little tailor sewed a belt and wrote "Seven at one blow!" in big letters on it. He was even so proud that he wanted to tell not only the town but the whole world about it. So he went out into the world with his belt and a piece of cheese. Outside the gates of the city he found a bird caught in the bushes and took it with him. He reached a mountain where a giant lived. The tailor went to him and asked if the giant would like to travel the world with him. The giant laughed at him. But then he saw the belt. He thought the tailor had killed seven people instead of seven flies and he got respect for the tailor. To test him, the giant took a big stone in his hand and crumbled it, and the tailor was to do the same to him. The tailor remained unimpressed and took his cheese out of his pocket. Since the cheese was wrapped, the giant thought that it was a stone. The tailor squeezed it with his hand until the juice ran out. The giant was impressed. But it was not convinced yet. Next, he threw a stone as far as he could. The tailor was to do the same. But the tailor said: "Quite well, but in the end it will fall down again, your stone. I can throw a stone so that it will not fall down again. "So he took the bird out of his pocket and threw it in the air. The bird flew so fast to freedom that the giant couldn't see it exactly and thought it was a stone, too. To test it one last time, the giant led the tailor to a large fallen tree. He should help him to carry the tree away. The tailor thought for a moment and then said to the giant, "All right, you take the trunk, I'll take the branches." The giant accepted and hoisted the large and thick trunk on his shoulder. Because he couldn't turn around, he didn't see that the little tailor had simply sat down in the branches of the tree and let the giant carry him. He put the giant in a few more times until he was really afraid of the tailor. At some point he moved on, and came to a royal court. The people there saw his belt and thought he was a brave fighter. The king came to him and made him an offer. If the tailor defeated the two giants who were making trouble in the kingdom, he would give him half of his possessions and also marry him to his beautiful daughter. So the tailor went into the forest to the giants and led them around by the nose in such a way that they finally fought each other themselves. When the tailor now claimed his prize, the king sent him out once more to catch a unicorn that was also running around in the forest. He caught that too with a trick. The king still did not want to keep his promise and demanded a wild boar to be caught by the tailor. He caught the animal in an old chapel and could finally go to the king, who now kept his promise. The tailor married the princess and became king over his own kingdom. 7 flies in one go! Visit the little tailor and then the giant, who tries with difficulty to hold on to the tree.
