Every year in May, the Mai-Wies'n takes place in Burghausen on the fairground. Visitors will find numerous fairground rides, food stalls and, of course, the large marquee.

After the mayor has tapped the first barrel on the first evening and opened the Mai-Wies'n with the exclamation "Ozapft is!", visitors can enjoy themselves at the Mai-Wiesn for ten days across all generations. Whether it's a Bavarian snack with brass band music, a ride on the carousel or the Ferris wheel with a guaranteed magnificent view over the lively festival square and the whole town of Burghausen, as well as

in the evening, when bands really heat up the atmosphere in the marquee.

To kick off the Mai-Wies'n, there is always a parade through the Neustadt by the landlords, showmen and participating groups.
