The first big spring market of the year in the Emsland-East Frisian region takes place in May on the Untender market square in Papenburg. The traditional May market opens its doors to all visitors who fancy a funfair.


‘Every day from 2 pm, market visitors can expect a good mix of rides for young and old, great attractions, lottery and sales stalls as well as numerous snack bars with a variety of culinary delights,’ promises Timo von Halle from the East Frisian Showmen's Association. The rides provide fun and thrills. Family rides and several children's rides round off the carousel programme.


The highlight on Friday is a large firework display, which can be admired again at around 10 pm at the historic town hall.


On Monday, families are especially invited. With reduced prices and many special offers, the market invites you to enjoy a few carefree hours.
