The oldest fair in Saxony takes place in the municipality of Lorenzkirch at the beginning of August. A colourful mixture of folk festival and market awaits visitors. A variety of different traders offer goods for everyday needs and unusual items. Here you can still discuss the price with the stall holder in the traditional way. At the popular flea market by the church, you are sure to find a rarity or two.

The amusement mile presents the most popular carousels and rides of the Lorenzmarkt in recent years on the fairground on the Elbwiese.
