The Landshut Christmas Market is one of the most atmospheric Christmas markets in Bavaria and transports its visitors into a magical Advent world. It takes place on the Ringelstecherwiese, framed by the impressive backdrop of St. Martin's Basilica and the majestic Trausnitz Castle. Bathed in warm lights, the lovingly decorated stalls offer a diverse selection of handicrafts, classic Christmas decorations, and culinary specialties such as mulled wine and Advent delicacies. As a special highlight, a Christmas Ferris wheel with enclosed gondolas offers a unique panoramic view of the illuminated Advent city. The market also features an artificial ice rink and a stage program with live music and traditional performances. The atmosphere of the market extends to the entire old town of Landshut, which is transformed into a festively illuminated “Advent city” with the Landshut Nativity Trail and a spectacular XXL Christmas tree ball in front of the town hall.
