In Mainz on the Adenauer-Ufer - between Kaisertor and Kurfürstenbrunnen - the big Mainzer Rhein-Frühling ("Spring Fair") takes place every year. The showmen set up their rides, games and snack shops directly on the Rhine and look forward to many visitors. From the big Ferris wheel there is a wonderful view over the festival, the Rhine and the city.
