In the Dinosaur Museum Altmühltal you go deep into the world of prehistoric giants. With all your senses. With much fun. And with "amazement guarantee". This is mainly due to the variety. More than 70 life-size replicas of the primeval giants will surprise you here. When beating fossils in the hands-on hall, everyone uses a hammer and chisel to search for real fossils. At tactile stations you can touch a dinosaur tooth or the claws of a long-necked dinosaur. In a race against a dinosaur, the question arises: would I have escaped a "Tyronnosaurus Rex"? Spoiler Alert: No!
The place of adventure (winner of the ADAC tourism award) combines spectacular Dino knowledge, great organic gastronomy and spacious playgrounds on the one hand with scientific research, unique exhibitions and world sensations in a museum hall on the other. The real skeleton of a young "Tyrannosaurus Rex" (nickname "Rocky"), the original fossil of the primeval bird "Archaeopteryx" or the "Dracula" hovering high above the heads of the guests are astounding: this is how the largest and heaviest pterosaur was christened, who ever made the skies unsafe on this planet.

The Dinosaur Museum Altmühltal is only 2 kilometers away from the A9 and is open all year round. Free parking spaces for cars, motorcycles & Co. are available to visitors. If you use public transport, you can take the bus directly from Ingolstadt's main or north train station.
