On the fairground in front of the Bürgerhalle, the showmen once again set up their rides and amusement stalls. Typical fairground specialities will be served to cater for your physical well-being. There will also be a weekly Italian market in the town

For four days, the Barbarossa market will be the centre of attention in the Barbarossa town of Gelnhausen. This is one of the most important folk festivals in the entire region and attracts many visitors to our unique town every year.

The Kalte Markt traditionally takes place at the beginning/middle of November. The original cattle fair was first mentioned in documents in the 12th century. In the meantime, it has developed into a large local festival with more than 100,000 visitors.
