Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown is located in Spring, north of Houston. It is one of the oldest water parks in the region and has been in operation since 1984. Covering 48 acres, the park has two pools, 18 water slides and two areas for children.

In 1937 the Straubing zoo opened on an area of 18 hectares. Over 200 animal species live here in several facilities and animal houses. The Straubing zoo takes part in conservation breeding programs and stocks Bali starlings, bison and African penguins.
