With over 100,000 visitors, the Schätzele market is the largest folk festival in the region and one of the most important in South Baden. The town of Tengen has been celebrating the market on the last weekend in October for over 725 years.

The Schätzele

In 1937 the Straubing zoo opened on an area of 18 hectares. Over 200 animal species live here in several facilities and animal houses. The Straubing zoo takes part in conservation breeding programs and stocks Bali starlings, bison and African penguins.

The funfair takes place on the Gildeplein.
