The Salzgitter-Lebenstedt City Festival is the largest public festival in the city and is considered one of the largest funfairs in the region between the Harz Mountains and the Heath. It traditionally takes place on the third weekend in August.

The City

The Roonkarker Mart (Low German for Rodenkirchen market) is a fair in the village of Rodenkirchen (municipality of Stadland, Lower Saxony).

It is the largest and oldest fair in the district of Wesermarsch and is well known beyond the district boundaries.

In the middle of Upper Bavaria in Lenggries, a summer toboggan run of a special kind awaits you a little out of the way. It only goes along a narrow track. There is also the possibility to try one or the other Bavarian snack on site in the Jaudenstadl.
