The Papenburg August Market is a traditional folk festival that is one of the largest funfairs in the Emsland region and has a history dating back over 300 years. It is an integral part of the annual calendar of events in Papenburg.

The funfair takes place in the Domineeskamp car park. There is another car park right next door with plenty of parking spaces.
