In 1829, the first Corpus Christi fair was held in Sterkrade. The small, contemplative market (six to eight traders) has developed into one of the largest city centre and street fairs in Germany. The festival now attracts over 1 million visitors a year.

Around 60 showmen await you in Bremerhaven. The fairground is completely fenced in, but there is no admission charge.

In Leer (East Frisia) in Lower Saxony, around 33 kilometres south of Emden and 40 kilometres from Winschoten in the Netherlands, you will find the Leer Miniature Land, which opened in 2011. On around 1500 square metres, you can immerse yourself in the
