Every year, the US Army Garrison Bavaria invites the entire population to celebrate at the German-American Folk Festival on the military training area. The military training area opens its doors on the first weekend in August.

As every year, the first weekend in September is all about the September market on the market square in Oudenaarde. 10 days of fun, 10 days of partying and 10 days of eating oliebollen.
