The Salzgitter-Lebenstedt City Festival is the largest public festival in the city and is considered one of the largest funfairs in the region between the Harz Mountains and the Heath. It traditionally takes place on the third weekend in August.

The City

Every year, when the surrounding fields have been harvested, a funfair begins at the gates of the town of Blomberg on the fairground on the B1, which is one of the most sociable and biggest highlights in the district of Lippe.
