The Papenburg August Market is a traditional folk festival that is one of the largest funfairs in the Emsland region and has a history dating back over 300 years. It is an integral part of the annual calendar of events in Papenburg.

The festival

Around 30 km from Kolberg on the Baltic Sea, a completely new theme park awaits you from June 2025. The park offers several themed areas and four roller coasters as well as many other attractions.

With the May Market and the Autumn Market, there are funfairs twice a year in Pirmasens on the Meßplatz. In addition to various showmen with their rides, there is also live music in the beer garden, a market and a fireworks display.

There is a great musical and culinary offer, as well as a great amusement park for the visitors. Traditional brass band music and show bands also provide entertainment.
