The Papenburg August Market is a traditional folk festival that is one of the largest funfairs in the Emsland region and has a history dating back over 300 years. It is an integral part of the annual calendar of events in Papenburg.

The festival

On the first weekend in September, it's time for the Moers funfair, which attracts around 400,000 visitors to the city of the counts.

The traditional event has been offering plenty of fun and variety for young and old for over 170 years.
