The largest funfair in Münsterland takes place three times a year. Every year, up to 200 fairground attractions take place on the 32,000 square metre Schlossplatz. A big fireworks display on Friday evening is always part of the event.

The Kalte Markt traditionally takes place at the beginning/middle of November. The original cattle fair was first mentioned in documents in the 12th century. In the meantime, it has developed into a large local festival with more than 100,000 visitors.

The fair is held twice a year on the market square in the Dithmarsch district town of Heide. Around 60 exhibitors and showmen are on hand with rides and other attractions to provide plenty of fun and entertainment. Of course, there are also various snack
