Magdeburg is home to Germany's oldest folk festival, the Herbstmesse. It was first mentioned in 1010 and has had different names over the years. In the end it was simply the "Herbstmesse".

The Schützen-Collegium of the town of Lehrte invites you to the annual Schützen- und Volksfest on the Schützenplatz in Lehrte. In addition to food and drink, the showmen invite you to enjoy their attractions over the three days of the festival.
